Into the wild

I know I am a little behind the times, okay, significantly behind the times when it comes to the movie into the wild.
I have heard about it for years and have always been told "Amy you will love this", but the opportunity has somehow never arisen.

Tonight I babysat and the opportunity to see this film was there and I took it.

A life lived without money, without the want of things, without the grab of money.
A life lived completely aware of ones surroundings and in awe of them.
A life lived in search of greater meaning than consumption and doing what one 'should'
A life lived fast and good, with an adventurous heartbeat, a curious soul.

A life lived in many ways like my heart longs for.

My being craves adventure, for every footstep and heart beat of my life to be in the process of discovering life, and in not being satisfied to be held up by the grip of wanting inanimate things.

But my soul, my being also longs for more than 'finding' or 'discovering' myself in the wild.

I long for a wild life, where ever I am, suburbia, studying, working, or adventuring this country or another.
A wild life that encourages and joins with others to see outside of ourselves, to see outside of 'the way things are' or 'ought to be', an adventurous full life full of love.

"Happiness is only real when shared" - Christopher McCandless

What a great realisation.
