We had our final med ball as medical students.
It was so much fun to get dolled up and celebrate all of our achievements (and yet to be achievements) with our peers and academic members of staff.
We owned the D-floor and certainly celebrated with style. Look at the photos below and you will see we are/can be a looking bunch!
I have been enjoying Ortho and the slower pace (I only have two clinics this week!)
I actually think my most enjoyable clinic of the year to date was fracture clinic last week, I really thought I wouldn't enjoy it at all, but it was so hands on that I had a ball. In fact it almost left me wondering if orthopaedics is something for me! HA!
Yet again, having the knowledge to manage uncomplicated fractures is a pretty important skill in GP land, particularly for the tool box of a rural GP - so perhaps orthopaedics wont steal me yet. But it certainly got me thinking!
OH another point of celebration is the finishing of my audit!
well....let's celebrate small milestones, I finished the draft....It still needs to be read over to ensure I actually meet the criteria - but it has been an ongoing project all year, and having it pretty much finished has taken a HUGE weight off of my shoulders and has left me feeling a far sight less anxious about the world.
well I think thats enough words for this week..I'll leave you with a few snaps from MEDBALL

you look like someone who should be walking the red carpet!
