bottle and a boat

I am not exactly sure why I feel compelled to share this cartoon with you all.
but something in it's simplicity captured me.
There is a peacefulness to this image that both soothes me and concerns me.
It doesn't take much to rock a boat in a bottle, yet when the bottle is still the water is also and the boat is safe.
 - Maybe I feel this picture represents the calm before the storm?
 - The peace of waiting for the bottle to rock...the middle of semester before the heat of exams hits?
 - The contentment with things the way they are, at this time, for now?
 - the safety of a limited ocean, looking out at the world? but not being apart of the whole ocean...which is scarier, yet is filled with more reward - perhaps it is that which concerns me. the safety of the bottle also means the boat misses out on more... living, sailing...but not experiencing all that sailing could bring?
