Centrelink along with other things

I now have empathy to all those who have endured the challenge of applying for and maintaining centrelink payments. I guess I was slightly niave when I first gave centrelink all the forms they asked for - I assumed that having provided them with everything they asked for, that would be that! HA! Low and behold another letter arrived asking for more forms not previously mentioned. Today I adventured down to a centrelink office near where I am staying and lined up for over an hour! Seriously, There were more people waiting than staff employed and it looked like the office was only half full of workers as it was... surely there could be a better way?!
And I only had to have 2 forms photocopied and was given another 2 forms to fill in!
Gak!
At least the lady was really nice to me, and seemed generally interested in why I had moved to WA and gave me some suggestions about places to look for accomodation and gave me her well wishes :)
[now only 3 more teadious form filling exercises for random things to complete]

After all that I caught the bus back to near where I am staying with my handy dandy swipe 'smart rider' card - seriously good idea, and bought myself a well earned certified organic and fair trade flat white coffee with no sugar and wandered my way home listening to Angus and Julia Stone - on a relatively pleasant, but slightly humid 30 or so degree day here in Mount Hawthorn.

This evening I am venturing to UWA to picnic and watch a movie outside with Andrew (the eldest son of the Gioia's who I am staying with) and his lady friend Juna, which should be lovely! It will be nice to see a bit more of Perth, and to go out and do something relatively normal - like socialising!

touchy feelie check:
how am I feeling?
Well so far living in Perth just feels like I am on holidays really, I guess with Uni not starting till Monday and still living out of suitcases I dont feel like this is permanent yet, I dont know when that feeling will kick in, but I am not to phased either. I know this is where I am meant to be and that excites me and makes chores such as changing my address feel like an adventure, as everything is new and 'slightly' different to Adelaide.

Thanks to all who are checking in on me with Emails, calls and txts.
With love,
Bickers
xx
