I like to think, write, dance, laugh, sing, skip, cook, swing, wander, pick flowers, study (sometimes!), bake, cry, listen, and share these moments with you

To the Alice
To the red centre, to the Alice with a spring in my step.
On my way the the airport my taxi driver asked if he could either add me on Facebook or have my email! Who knew that my delightful taxi discussion about poverty, Australia's consumerism and how I can't simply live in apathy would make such an impact?!
I politely declined his offer to stay in contact. Now I sit (waiting for my flight) musing over whether that was a fair response to his vulnerable request to be friends...
I'm excited about what the next 4 and a bit days or so in Alice will bring. It's an opportunity to see if I would like to work there next year, if I am the right fit for Alice or of it is the right fit for me. I am also looking forward to the Lowitja conference on research in the area of Indigenous health, I know I will learn a lot! Most of all though, I'm looking forward for another opportunity to explore this part of Australia, I always feel so alive in non-urban Aus.
To the centre that is red, leaving Sunny Perth behind for just a few days...
